The Inbetween Cafe is a modest coffee spot tucked into Osborne Park that caters well to both locals popping in for a morning fix and those looking for a quick, casual bite during the day. Its name fits the vibe—neither rushed nor formal, it feels like a comfortable pause in a busy suburb. The space is small, so it often attracts takeaway customers, but there’s a relaxed flow if you decide to linger.

Regulars appreciate the consistency in the coffee, which leans toward a sweeter profile without added sugar—appealing to those who prefer a smooth, approachable espresso. Options include everything from long blacks and cappuccinos to iced varieties, accommodating different preferences throughout the warmer months. For something warm and indulgent, their hot chocolate earns particular praise, standing out among typical cafe offerings.

Food-wise, The Inbetween leans on straightforward, well-made toasties and bagels, with fillings like classic ham and cheese or pesto chicken catching local attention. There’s also a thoughtful nod toward dietary diversity with small selections of gluten-free and vegan snacks, making it easier for a range of visitors to find a quick bite. The sandwiches aren’t just functional—they often impress with fresh, memorable flavours that feel satisfying without being fussy.

The staff here play a big role in the atmosphere, remembered for their friendliness and ease in striking up casual, genuine conversations. This makes the cafe feel welcoming beyond just the usual caffeine transaction, as if regulars and newcomers alike are part of a small community moment. Parking is convenient, and the option to drive through means it’s easy to access for those on the move.

The best times to stop by seem to be weekday mornings for a caffeine pick-me-up before work or midday when a quick, well-prepared lunch can break up the day. The casual, no-pressure environment makes it suitable for solo visitors looking for a quiet moment or locals catching up between errands. While not a place to settle for hours with a laptop, it suits people who appreciate solid coffee and fresh, tasty food served with a smile in a straightforward suburban setting.

A nice little coffee shop with some really good looking sandwiches. I had a long Mac topped up this morning here. Not a bad coffee but not the flavour profile I like, but if you like a sweeter coffee without sugar a good one.

Perfect name for this lil cafe. Such a sweet crew too! Pull up and park, or drive through. I’ve tried several of their toasties. Each is worth its price, and memorably tasty. Little nibbles of SF, GF, and vegan things too. Coffee is fairly good. Satisfactory!

Absolutely amazing tiny cafe. The Pesto Chicken Bagel was salivating! One of the best hot chocolates around.

little hidden gem. 10/10 for the classic ham and cheese toastie, the cheese was the best part. Paid nearly double else where for something no where near as good. Staff are super friendly, I will be back to try to whole menu x

I found this coffee takeaway joint nearly 2 years ago now tucked away in Osborne Park. The coffee is always great and always the same no matter who makes it for me. The staff are super friendly and listen to all my stories of the day! Thankyou to the coffee gods for the in-between Cafe!

The Inbetween Cafe is an absolute lifesaver and a fantastic spot, especially if you're navigating a big shopping trip! It's clearly **popular with families**, offering that perfect pit stop where a promised treat can be a great motivator for little ones (and maybe even some adults!). Nestled amongst a great selection of homewares, furniture, and household goods stores, it’s perfectly positioned for a break. I particularly loved their blankets draped over the chairs – a cosy touch! The food and treats selection is excellent. We tried both the tuna melt and the ham and cheese toastie. The tuna melt was absolutely delicious, my personal highlight. My mate thought his ham and cheese toastie could have used a bit more filling, but that really just comes down to his personal preference for a super-stuffed toastie. Beyond the food, the coffee is excellent, and I even found myself admiring the coffee cups – a small detail that adds to the overall charm. All round, it's a truly great place with patient, friendly staff and surprisingly fast service, making it an ideal refuelling stop. Highly recommend!
